Job summary

Office Angels in East Grinstead is seeking an experienced Client Manager to own a high-quality client portfolio, act as the primary contact for clients, and build trusted long-term relationships within a professional and collaborative environment.

You will oversee a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and taxation support while ensuring an exceptional client experience from initial query through to delivery of accounts and tax services.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (or be qualified by experience at a senior level).
• 7+ years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong general practice experience across accounts and taxation.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Excellent knowledge of sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts.
• Strong personal and business tax knowledge.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• A professional, commercial and client-focused approach.
• Experience with trusts would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns.
• Preparing partnership and corporation tax returns.
• Advising clients on accounting and taxation matters.
• Building strong client relationships and delivering a proactive, high-level service.
• Working independently whilst managing deadlines across your portfolio.
• Liaising directly with clients and professional advisers where required.
• Supporting the continued growth and success of the practice.

The Role

As Client Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and taxation support whilst ensuring an exceptional client experience.

You will have full ownership of your portfolio and be the key contact for clients, managing relationships from initial query through to delivery of accounts and tax services.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and personal tax clients
