Job summary

Michael Page in Bath is seeking an experienced Client Manager / Accounts Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio of incorporated and unincorporated businesses. You will oversee accounts, provide advisory services, and develop consultative client relationships beyond routine accounts work.

The role involves statutory and management accounts, VAT and corporation tax work, with opportunities in forecasting, valuations and cloud accounting implementation.

Qualifications

• Strong statutory accounts preparation and financial reporting experience.
• Experience dealing directly with clients and managing your own workload.
• Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business clients and oversee accounts assignments.
• Plan work effectively to ensure assignments are completed on time and budget.
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.
• Support corporation tax computations, VAT and wider business tax matters.
• Build strong relationships and act as a key day-to-day contact for clients.
• Lead project work including forecasting, valuations and systems reviews.
