Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary senior contact for a portfolio of high-value clients and build lasting relationships.
• Drive client satisfaction, retention and long-term account growth.
• Own portfolio performance including billing, pricing, profitability and commercial outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase fee income.
• Lead onboarding and transition of complex client engagements.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting and advisory matters.
• Mentor and develop client service teams and promote continuous improvement.
• Oversee workflow, resource planning and service delivery standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risks and commercial opportunities for senior leadership.
• Contribute to business development, operational improvements and strategic growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary senior contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, developing strong and lasting relationships.
• Drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term account growth.
• Take full ownership of portfolio performance, including billing, pricing strategies, profitability, and commercial outcomes.
• Identify and convert opportunities to expand service offerings and increase fee income.
• Lead and oversee complex client onboarding and transition processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support on more complex accounting and advisory matters.
• Manage, mentor, and develop client service teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee workflow management, resource planning, and service delivery standards.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and commercial opportunities to senior leadership.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
• A proven track record of managing and growing a successful client portfolio.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience improving revenue, profitability, and client value.
• Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with senior-level clients.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the credibility to influence business decisions.
