The Role

As a Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, from straightforward to large and complex assignments
  • Managing the completion and submission of financial statements, business taxation, and personal taxation for your portfolio within agreed deadlines
  • Supervising and supporting assistants and seniors, including carrying out line management duties such as 1:1s, goal setting, and student reviews
  • Resolving complex queries and liaising directly with clients to provide excellent service
  • Reviewing assignments prepared by junior staff to ensure compliance and readiness for client review
  • Attending and contributing to client meetings alongside senior colleagues
  • Building strong professional relationships with clients, encouraging referrals and future business opportunities
  • Developing your own professional network with the aim of generating new business
The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold ICAS, ACA, or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have previous experience in a practice environment, managing client relationships and portfolios
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
  • Be ambitious, motivated, and keen to progress to Senior Manager level
  • Be confident working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines
  • Bring strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use initiative
  • Be a supportive team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
