Job summary

EW Recruitment Limited is seeking a Client Manager for a remote-friendly role with optional office access. The role focuses on managing client portfolios, delivering proactive tax and accounting guidance, and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ ACCA qualification or be part-qualified, strong experience in practice, and be comfortable liaising with clients and HMRC. Remote work is offered, with a sociable, collaborative environment and an on-site option.

Qualifications

• Managing a portfolio of clients and providing proactive tax and accounting advice.
• Welcome call with new clients and AML risk assessment at sign-up.
• Reviewing work: accounts, corporation tax, VAT and SATRs.
• Reviewing work and coordinating with bookkeeper for accuracy.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and annual accounts review (AAR).
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients; handle inquiries and tax issues.
• Stay updated on UK tax changes and inform clients and team.

Responsibilities

Job title: Client Manager

Salary: Up to £50k

My client is looking for a Client Manager who has strong Practice Experience with a strong understanding of the business cycle. Previous experience working with Xero is required. They are a really lovely company who do offer fully remote, but still hold a very sociable, collaborative and welcoming environment. They do have an office so if you would prefer to go in, you can.

Duties/ Qualifications

• Managing a portfolio of clients, providing proactive tax and accounting advice
• Conduct a 'welcome call' with new clients and complete a risk assessment upon client sign-up and annual AML risk assessment
• Reviewing work (accounts, Corp tax, VAT and SATRs)
• Experience reviewing work - Periodically review bookkeeping and collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct quarterly business review meetings with relevant clients and hold an Annual Accounts Review (AAR)
• Monitor the time spent by the team on each client and ensure invoicing aligns with the client's revenue and time spent.
• Provide clear, practical Tax solutions to clients
• Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on behalf of clients, handling inquiries and resolving tax-related issues.
• Stay updated on changes in UK tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and the team
• ACA/ ACCA Qualified or part qualified
