Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Client Manager to join an established accountancy organisation in Chester on a permanent, full-time basis. You will own and manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing high-quality accounting and tax services in a client-facing role from a hybrid workspace.

The role requires significant accounts experience, strong taxation knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• - Significant accounts experience in an accountancy practice.
• - Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist/similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed companies.
• Be the main client contact in a client-facing role.
• Plan, review, and finalise accounts for clients.
• Advise clients on accounts and related matters.
• Assist remuneration planning for clients.
• Oversee VAT returns and management accounts.
• Handle corporation and personal tax services for clients.
• Assist in training and supporting trainees.
• Support directors with technical tasks.

Client Manager required to join an established accountancy organisation on an permanent, full time basis. My client is looking for an experienced Client Manager to take ownership of and manage a portfolio of owner managed businesses in a client facing role.

As the Client Manager you will be providing high quality accounting and tax services, offering advice to clients and ensuring that their accountancy needs are met, alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Client Manager

• Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner managed companies
• Client facing role - being the main point of contact for these clients
• Accounts for clients - planning, reviewing and meeting and finalisation
• Advising and giving guidance to clients on their accounts and other related matters
• Remuneration planning
• Overview of VAT returns / management accounts
• Being the main contact for your clients in regards corporation tax and personal tax services and review of these returns
• Assisting in the training / support of trainees
• Supporting the directors with more technical tasks

Required skills and experience of the Client Manager

• Significant accounts experience gained within an accountancy practice is essential
• Ideally qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA, although a finalist or exceptional qualified by experience accountant would be considered
• Excellent IT skills with experience of accounting software
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Be a proactive self-starter and also an effective team player with a strong customer focus, to effectively look after clients' needs
• A strong commercial approach
• Experienced in income and business taxation
• Ability to efficiently manage a portfolio of work in progress
• Confident, positive professional with a can-do attitude and attention to detail
