Job summary

Rob Emsley Specialist Accountancy Practice Recruitment is seeking a Senior Manager to take responsibility for a client portfolio, delivering sound financial guidance and overseeing year-end accounts and tax returns.

You will lead digital software projects, supervise junior staff, and support partners in growing the business. A fully qualified ACA or ACCA with extensive practice experience is essential, along with strong communication and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with extensive experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to communicate with non-finance staff.
• Proven leadership skills including mentoring junior staff and supervising a team.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering year-end accounts and tax work.
• Ability to drive digital software projects and support business development.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients and advise on business and financial matters.
• Prepare and review year-end accounts and tax returns for clients.
• Lead digital software projects and initiatives within the practice.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Assist partners in running and developing the business and expanding client services.

Job description

In this role you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, offering sound business and financial advice, and preparing and reviewing their year end accounts and tax returns. You will also take a lead role in digital software projects, supervise and mentor a team of junior staff, and assist the partners in the running and development of the business.

This role would be a good fit for a fully qualified ACA or ACCA with extensive experience in an accountancy practice environment. Strong technical skills will be required to be successful in this role, along with an ability to communicate effectively with non-finance staff, and strong commercial acumen.
