Job summary

State Street Corporation in London is seeking a Client Implementation & Transitions Coordinator to plan, coordinate and deliver onboarding, transitions and change events for our clients. The role is part of State Street Investment Management's operations, requiring strong organisational and stakeholder management to ensure a seamless client experience.

You will work across Custodians and Administrators, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and strive for excellence in execution

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline required.
  • Industry qualifications (IMC, CISI) advantageous.
  • Experience in asset management or investment operations beneficial.

Who we are looking for

As a Client Implementation & Transitions Coordinator you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and efficient implementation of new business and change activities. As the key contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, you will take ownership of client change events and be expected to understand them to a high level of detail to ensure successful implementation. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office. You will develop a broad understanding of investment products, operational workflows and client servicing requirements while managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, proactive stakeholder management and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

The Client Implementation & Transitions team is responsible for managing the operational delivery of new business mandates and client change events, ensuring assets can be invested and serviced successfully from day one. The team works across a broad range of products, markets and client types, supporting onboarding, restructures, portfolio transitions, in-specie events, market openings and account closures. What you will be responsible for
  • Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of client onboarding, transition and change events, ensuring all deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, prioritising activities effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and control.
  • Act as the primary point of coordination for internal and external stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Facilitate all interactions with Custodians and Administrators with regards to set up arrangements.
  • Complete market opening and trading documentation.
  • Coordinate transaction processing including in-kind trade booking and resolution of exceptions.
  • Facilitate operational readiness across front, middle and back-office teams to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Work closely with the Contracting and KYC/AML teams to ensure timely completion of legal administration within planned timeframes.
  • Ensure accurate static data set up on internal systems; maintain client and portfolio reference data.
  • Update and completion of checklists and event scheduling application for all events, ensuring adherence to procedures, to facilitate risk free event support.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience, before, during and after events.
  • Chair meetings with internal teams in preparation for, during, and post event.
  • Provide timely, effective and accurate query investigation and resolution.
  • Continuously focus on risk excellence and risk mitigation.
  • Challenge existing processes where perceived risks and gaps exist.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree qualified, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (IMC, CISI or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Experience within asset management, custody, fund administration, investment operations, implementation, onboarding or transition management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, events or operational initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with institutional investment products and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of one or more asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Futures, OTC Derivatives and Pooled Funds.
  • Experience of client onboarding, account opening, market set-up, custody operations or portfolio transitions would be advantageous.
