We’re now looking for a dynamic, hands on finance leader to join us as a Client Finance Director / Accountant.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as FD for a group of clients, preparing and reviewing management accounts, reporting, and providing strategic insights at board level
  • Build strong relationships with owners and leadership teams, this role isn’t back office, it’s frontline and forward looking
  • Support on compliance (annual accounts, CT returns, personal tax) and deliver adhoc consultancy when needed
  • Be part of a supportive, EOS aligned team that’s scaling intentionally and with purpose

Required Knowledge, skills and experience(Practice Background)

  • Qualified, part qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Experience preparing monthly or quarterly management accounts and leading review meetings with clients
  • Ability to lead a team and present a clear leadership role to the clients you manage
  • Experience analyzing, error correcting and submitting VAT returns.
  • Experience submitting accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Experience submitting self assessments for directors, partners and sole traders.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented
  • Can work independently with little or no supervision
  • Can build rapport quickly and easily with all personality types
  • Be prepared to go that extra mile when needed
  • Confident and clear communicator who can communicate at all levels
  • Has a strong foundation in and can quickly pick up new IT and software skills - essential

Preferred Knowledge, skills and experience(Practice Background)

  • Experience of payroll, P11d and Pensions
  • Knowledge of payroll journals
  • Experience with incorporations, confirmation statements and share structures
  • Interest in growing into a leadership role within the organization

Required Knowledge, skills and experience(Industry Background)

  • Qualified, part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Experience reporting to board level as Finance Director, Finance Manager or Financial Controller
  • Ability to lead a team and present a clear leadership role to the clients you manage
  • Experience analysing, error correcting and submitting VAT returns.
  • Commercial experience in industry understanding sales, marketing or operations. This can be either as a standalone role or just a component of an existing role.
  • Good knowledge of the differences in business structures (LLP, LTD, Sole Trader)
  • Meticulous and detail oriented
  • Can work independently with little or no supervision
  • Can build rapport quickly and easily with all personality types
  • Be prepared to go that extra mile when needed
  • Confident and clear communicator who can communicate at all levels
  • Has a strong foundation in and can quickly pick up new IT and software skills - essential

  • Experience of payroll, P11d and Pensions

  • Submission of annual accounts

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute:

  • Newcastle upon Tyne - for team socials and company meetings
