Job description

650NED is an Outsourced Finance Team and Business Consultancy business.

Due to a phase of growth, we're now looking for an Client Business Analyst & Management Accountant to work directly with the business owner to run the clients finances and work with them to achieve their internal goals. This is an integral role which will enable the next phase of growth for the company. Without it, I (Annie, the owner) am the bottle neck! You'll become a HUGE cog in both my company and the clients businesses with big opportunities for growth.

You'll be responsible for several clients in the Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire areas. You'll also be travelling to them regularly and you'll be expected to do this every day if the business requires. Travel expenses will be covered in addition to salary.

As part of the role, you'll be responsible for all areas of finance and business in various business types and sizes, ranging from 500k turnover to 10m turnover. Ideally your longer term goal would be to become a commercially astute Finance Director and you'll be given as many opportunities as you wish to take.

You should have a high level of knowledge in the technical and operational aspects of finance.

Your role will include being responsible for, but not be limited to, the following across various clients.

Ensuring all bookkeeping and month end tasks are completed on time and to a high standard (you should understand P&L and Balance Sheets and what 'boxes' all transactions need to go into), to include prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation and accruals. You should be able to walk into almost any business and quickly understand what needs to be done from a bookkeeping and month end POV and put in place processes and timelines to achieve this. You should have strong reconciliation and analytical skills, including variance analysis and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. You should be comfortable with payroll and the relevant journals and processes that go with it, as well as P11Ds. Strong budgeting and forecasting experience with the ability to confidently manage the process from start to finish, dealing with various teams and personalities in the client businesses. Strong team leadership skills and the ability to comprehensively train and support junior members of staff both within 650NED and the client teams. Strong cashflow management and forecasting skills, as well as credit control and debt management. Strong financial controls and the ability to implement and maintain processes. The ability to get to grips with new systems and software with minimal supervision (if you have Zoho Analytics experience this will stand you in good stead as I'm looking to implement it as a reporting tool!). Strong Excel skills (ideally VBA but not essential). Ideally experience with Statutory Accounts, Corporation Tax and Personal Tax.

A clean driving license and your own car. AAT Level 4 or above qualified, ideally part qualified but not essential.
