Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Python Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer in London on a hybrid basis. You will work directly with clients to turn complex ideas into production-ready solutions across software development, cloud platforms, data and stakeholder engagement.

You'll build and deploy Python-based services, design APIs and cloud-native workflows, troubleshoot issues and drive reliable, scalable outcomes with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience (FastAPI, Flask or Django).
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend services.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong SQL and data integration skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and taking ownership of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Building and deploying Python-based applications and services in customer environments.
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand business problems and rapidly deliver solutions.
