Job summary

Ridge & Partners LLP in Bristol seeks a Cost Manager to lead day-to-day cost management commissions across diverse sectors. You will act as a contact for clients and project teams, delivering cost advice from feasibility to final accounts with support from senior colleagues where needed.

Role covers cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration, change control and valuations, across projects from £1m to over £1bn. A UK driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A relevant RICS-accredited degree in quantity surveying or cost management.
• MRICS preferred; chartership may be considered with suitable experience.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
• Experience with JCT contracts; NEC knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong client-facing and reporting skills; excellent communication.
• UK driving licence held or available.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cost management commissions and be the client contact.
• Lead client-facing meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide cost advice across the project lifecycle from feasibility to final account.
• Contribute to cost planning, procurement, tendering and contract admin support.
• Oversee change control, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Prepare pricing documents, cost plans and tender reports.
• Value post-contract variations and advise on budget impact.
• Maintain project documentation and QA procedures.
• Develop relationships with existing clients, consultants and contractors and foster new opportunities.
• Assist with market testing, data capture and benchmarking.
