Job summary

Capgemini Invent in the UK seeks Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with client teams, architecting and delivering production-grade AI systems. This role combines hands-on engineering with high-stakes business impact, often on-site or hybrid, and requires clear communication with directors and C-suite audiences.

You will own end-to-end delivery—from discovery through production deployment—while prototyping in fast-moving environments and shaping future propositions in agentic AI across accounts.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior or principal software engineer or architect delivering production systems.
• Experience working with client stakeholders; comfortable presenting technical strategy to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams (on-site or hybrid) to design and build AI systems.
• Own end-to-end technical architecture and delivery quality.
• Balance hands-on coding with executive stakeholder engagement and roadmapping.
• Prototype quickly in ambiguous settings and harden into robust production systems.
• Define engineering standards and mentor engineers on best practices.
