Job summary

Sotheby’s London on New Bond Street seeks a poised Client Liaison to greet clients, manage inquiries and support front of house operations during a 40-hour week. You will coordinate access, support registration and liaise with specialists to ensure a seamless client experience in a luxury retail and auction environment.

Responsibilities include managing inquiries, assisting with calendars and events, and upholding Sotheby’s brand standards across all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
• Calm demeanor with an ability to multi-task in a high traffic environment.
• Strong comfort with Microsoft Office & Google Suite; prior experience with Sotheby’s systems is preferable.
• Foreign language(s) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct clients, visitors, and staff with warmth, professionalism and discretion.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries, providing information or directing them appropriately.
• Assist clients with general inquiries through knowledge of the Company’s calendars, events and departments.
• Perform valuations desk research, liaising with relevant Specialists, or providing referrals.
• Coordinate visitor access, including security protocols and registration.
• Support London auctions by processing paddle registrations and operating bidding platforms.
• Maintain front of house spaces reflecting Sotheby’s brand standards.
• Organise auction calendars and update reference materials and reports.
