Job description

The primary purpose of this role is to develop, grow and retain a personal portfolio of insurance clients and to achieve overall financial targets, whilst driving sales and business development within you team.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

  • Establish and maintain deep relationships with clients and be seen as the trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
  • Use our Partners& Difference and Client Journey methodology, collaborating with our wider internal teams, to help clients understand the risks they face and build a greater resilience into their businesses.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, building and managing a personal pipeline of potential clients.
  • Ability to think strategically about the client base and proactively bring opportunities/ideas to the wider trading teams.
  • Ability to use technical knowledge to shape discussions with clients and provide guidance to the client teams.
  • Upholding our compliance and Client Journey standards to the highest level.
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts to the Regional Sales Director / Regional Managing Partner.
  • Using business development resources to grow our portfolio of new clients.
  • Acts as a client leader across a portfolio of clients with complex requirements.
  • Working in conjunction with the regional placement partners to ensure challenging risks are placed in a timely manner for the benefit of the client.
  • To use client applications accurately and as defined by the business.
  • To act upon feedback to ensure appropriate remediation plans are put in place.
  • To maintain own learning and continuous professional development.
  • Alignment with Partners& PACE values.

Experience/ Skills

  • Solid industry knowledge to be able to create the partnership required with clients and client teams.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide a responsive first-class service to clients.
  • Ability to exceed individual and team deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex insurance products.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented with a drive for results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals effectively.
  • Ability to identify client needs and offer tailored insurance solutions to address their challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, client preferences, and organizational priorities.
  • Ability to handle rejection, overcome objections, and persist in pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Capacity to analyse sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive sales growth.
  • Working knowledge of FCA compliance rules.
