Purpose of Role

The Operations Technology function is looking to hire a Data Solutions Lead/ Principal Architect based in London/ Amsterdam/ Dublin/ Luxembourg/ Poland to support multiple client data/ integration delivery initiatives within our firm. This role will work closely with external clients, product owners, IT/ Data teams, developers, and operational staff with a goal of problem solving, architecting, and enabling client data/ integration delivery.

About the Operations Technology Team

The Operations Technology team acts as the Operational business owner for key Service Delivery applications across Corporate & Fund Services. Corporate Services domain areas include Entity Management, Document Management Systems (DMS), Client KYC and Screening, Client Regulatory Filings, Client Accounting and Payments and Productivity apps such as Workflow Management. Fund Services encompasses servicing Private Equity, Real Estate, Open Ended funds and Capital Markets clients.

We translate commercial and market business requirements into actionable needs and executable application roadmaps. The team is responsible for executing the Service Delivery application strategy, deploying enhancements, and application implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client [Asset/ Fund Managers] requirements and translate them into scalable, data-driven technical solutions.
  • Design and support implementing technical solutions that align with our business objectives, including data models, pipelines and governance frameworks.
  • Act as the technical lead on projects (as required), working closely with our clients and internal teams, ensuring data architecture aligns with overall enterprise goals.
  • Facilitate and coordinate architecture assurance process in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends and recommend solutions that will benefit our clients, especially in data management and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the team, including best practices for data modelling, integration and performance optimization.
  • Lead proof of concept projects and evaluate new technologies for potential use in our solutions, particularly in data warehousing, data lakes and real-time streaming.
  • Facilitate and help establish standards and best practices, including data governance, metadata management and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with other architects and tech leads to construct a repeatable enterprise architecture process that is scalable, adaptable, and in synch with ever-changing business needs, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong client facing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Software Architecture / Design, Agile Methodology and DevOps practices.
  • Must have experience in Presales, Data Architecture, Solutioning, Consulting and Transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in data-centric multi country and service operations.
  • Proven experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, especially cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL and data engineering frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile and Architectural Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, etc.).
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including data strategies, insights and governance.
  • Experience in creating detailed architecture documents and technical roadmaps, with a focus on data ecosystems, integration platforms and analysis.
