Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited is seeking a Client Bookkeeper to join the bookkeeping team of an independent, growing accountancy firm. You will own client work, build relationships, and become a regular contact for bookkeeping queries.

AAT study support is available to help you complete your qualification. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, maintain precise records, handle invoices, bank reconciliations and VAT assistance, and progress within

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Good understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of practice clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Process sales and purchase invoices, payments and receipts.
• Complete bank reconciliations; assist with VAT returns and deadlines.
• Resolve day-to-day client queries.
• Communicate with clients regarding outstanding information.
• Ensure bookkeeping work is completed accurately and on time.
• Assist the wider accounts team where required.
