The Role

As CMD Associate Manager for the Global Aerospace & Defence and Global Real Estate Sectors, you will work across key product areas and offices to deliver a global strategy. Your responsibilities will include client development, opportunity spotting, market analysis, profile raising activities, and evaluating ROI.

The aerospace & defence groups and Global Real Estate Sector at Clifford Chance comprise multidisciplinary teams of experienced lawyers providing innovative legal advice across all practice areas.

Sector Overview
Global Aerospace & Defence

This sector is characterized by industry insight and advising on high-stakes deals. Clients include leading companies and service providers. We offer expertise in asset finance, M&A, sovereign wealth, public-private partnerships, anti-corruption regimes, and regulatory frameworks.

Global Real Estate

This is one of our firm's most established sectors, with a bold growth agenda. The Associate Manager will help shape and deliver strategic goals, supporting complex deals across the property lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee execution of client and marketing strategies for both sectors.
  • Manage marketing spend and measure ROI.
  • Enhance sector visibility and leverage firm expertise.
  • Collaborate with global practice leads and local offices for cohesive go-to-market approaches.
  • Drive client outreach, relationship activity, and cross-product collaboration.
  • Support client meetings, prepare communications, and maintain marketing materials.
  • Facilitate collaboration within the team to support client relationships and market positioning.
  • Manage financial and business activities, providing insights for decision-making.
  • Leverage resources to identify new business opportunities and leads.
  • Support branding, PR, and flagship events.
  • Act as the global point of contact for sector-related inquiries.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive experience in business development, preferably in law or professional services.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace & Defence or Real Estate sectors is advantageous.
  • Global perspective and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proven success in developing and executing BD strategies.
