We are seeking a talented individual to join our Surety team at Marsh. This role will be based in Haywards Heath. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

The role: Client Administrator

The Marsh Surety Practice is a market-leading specialty business with over 320 employees globally (11 in the UK, with offices in London and Haywards Heath).

We service all aspects of the Surety broking process for a wide range of large clients across sectors including Construction, Energy, Defence, Transportation, Technology, and Retail within the UK.

This role is suitable for someone highly organized with strong and varied administrative skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative role, enjoy working in a small team, and be willing to support colleagues as needed.

We will rely on you to:

  • Review bonds’ wording and advise clients on their suitability verbally and in writing.
  • Draft bond wording and arrange for bonds to be executed and delivered to clients.
  • Enter data into the bespoke Surety database and Marsh accounting system to produce client invoices.
  • Maintain and update information in both systems.
  • Liaise with team members, insurers, and the accounts department to resolve queries.
  • Review outstanding payments and follow up as necessary.
  • Process new and additional premium invoices.
  • Review cancellation documentation from clients and process accordingly.
  • Produce monthly client reports in Excel.
  • Assist in preparing underwriting submissions, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure Bond facility records are current in the database.
  • Organize client and underwriting meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing and correspondence.

What you need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills, including typing, writing, grammar, punctuation, and oral communication.
  • Proven administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients at a senior level.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive team player eager to learn and contribute.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
