Job summary

CBRE UK in Glasgow is hiring for a full-time, permanent role in Real Estate Accounting Services. You will deliver complex standard or bespoke reporting to a portfolio of clients and act as the primary client contact for queries.

You will prepare statutory accounts and VAT returns, review Trial Balance, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with internal controls and KPIS. A strong accounting background and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for client group dealing with queries and providing support
• Internal primary point of contact for Surveying and Management Services group; collaborate to deliver exceptional client outcomes
• Deliver bespoke reporting to internal or external stakeholders per KPIS
• Prepare full statutory accounts
• Prepare VAT returns to HMRC
• Prepare complex financial Journals
• Review Trial Balance and take corrective actions
• Prepare reconciliations
• Prepare IPD returns
• Prepare reconciliation of client funds and ensure cash is paid to clients per procedures
• Act as trusted advisor, guiding clients on systems and processes
• Coordinate and resolve funding issues across portfolio
• Ensure compliance with CBRE ISAE3402 and client controls
• Review transition packs and liaise with REAS for outcomes
• Attend client and internal meetings
• Review and approve team member work prior to submission
• Mentor and train new staff members
• Support re-engineering and efficiency initiatives across teams
