Overview

As a technical accounting expert, the Client Accounting Manager will take on the vital responsibility of overseeing the preparation and review of the Private Wealth client accounting team's work, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to budget. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of international clients across all asset classes, making it both fast-paced and rewarding.

Job Duties
  • Be the technical expert and point of contact for the team
  • Undertake Financial Reporting for complex structures
  • Monitor, promote, and participate in the development of team members
  • Manage the team\'s workload, identifying and resolving issues proactively to avoid backlog
  • Monitor team chargeability and efficiency
  • Inspire others through personal actions and behaviours
  • Build team morale by championing the organisation\'s values and fostering professionalism, teamwork, and leadership
  • Propose improvements to efficiencies and report these to the Head of Client Accounting
  • Manage, review, and oversee the completion of accurate Financial Statements for Private Wealth Clients, adhering to applicable Financial Reporting Standards
  • Oversee monthly reporting, quarterly management accounts, and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Review VAT reconciliations and collaborate with the tax team on timely VAT submissions
  • Oversee audits, attend audit meetings, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare regular team KRI and KPI reporting and provide feedback to the Head of Client Accounts
  • Assist in quarterly billing and WIP recovery analysis
  • Manage bookkeeping processes for accurate FATCA and CRS reporting
  • Report risk issues to Directors, Head of Client Accounts, and Compliance Departments as necessary
  • Liaise with clients and their representatives regarding accounting matters of varying complexity
  • Train and supervise junior staff, fostering a supportive team environment
  • Identify areas for self-improvement in knowledge and skills and seek assistance when needed
  • Stay updated on Financial Reporting Standards and maintain evidence of continuing professional development
Job Requirements
  • Attainment of a relevant professional qualification, e.g., ACA or ACCA
