About the Role


Client Accountant (Service Charge) | Real Estate | Manchester (Hybrid) | Up to £40,000


Are you an experienced property finance professional with a solid background in service charge accounting? We're working with a reputable real estate and property management firm in Manchester, seeking a Client Accountant to manage a commercial and/or residential portfolio across service charge, reporting, and client liaison.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team in a varied, fast-paced role with great long-term prospects and hybrid flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and reconcile service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties
  2. Manage client reporting, including income/expenditure, arrears, and variance commentary
  3. Liaise with property managers and surveyors to ensure budgets are accurate and compliant
  4. Raise and process service charge demands and tenant recharges
  5. Ensure compliance with RICS guidelines and industry standards
  6. Assist with year-end packs, external audits, and client queries

About You:

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a service charge / client accountant role
  2. Strong knowledge of commercial or residential service charge practices
  3. Confident with accounting systems - experience with QUBE, TRAMPS, MRI, or Yardi is desirable
  4. Able to work independently and manage a portfolio with minimal supervision
  5. Excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
