Job description

As a Client Accountant, you’re a detail-oriented team player with excellent organisational skills. Your responsibilities include managing private equity or real estate clients daily, reviewing financial statements, communicating cash movements accurately, and overseeing the preparation of client deliverables.

This is a 100% remote position available for UK-based candidates. We are also open to candidates based in and around our Newcastle office.

What you'll do

• Work closely with your line manager to ensure financial statements meet the funds’ reporting requirements, e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Review investor drawdown calculations for accuracy as funds seek access to commitments.
• Review investor distribution calculations to ensure proper recording and allocation of proceeds from investments.
• Ensure accurate communication of cash movements between the fund and investors via notices.
• Oversee the preparation and completion of client deliverables, including setting and adhering to timetables.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA part or fully qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience in financial services or accounting practices managing multiple client relationships.
• Proficiency in reviewing working papers and financial statements, including disclosures, or strong accounting background demonstrated through experience and CPD.
• Experience managing client relationships and resolving issues directly with clients.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
