An ambitious Top 40 chartered firm of accountants is currently seeking to add a Client Accountant to the team based in Northampton.

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing a team of accountants while assisting with a portfolio of clients across various industries and turnovers. Responsibilities include the preparation of accounts, business and personal tax returns, and providing advisory and tax planning services.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a portfolio of clients, leading a team, and offering client advice.

The Accounts Supervisor position offers a salary of up to £53,000, hybrid working options, 25 days of holiday plus additional benefits.

• Lead and develop the accounts team, ensuring high performance.
• Manage workflow for preparing accounts, maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate work to meet deadlines, utilizing team resources effectively.
• Review and oversee statutory accounts preparation (including FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105).
• Communicate with Partners, address queries, and highlight key points for clients.
• Plan client work efficiently with senior team members.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Handle a portfolio of clients with previous experience.
• Mentor junior team members and foster team building.

The role offers a salary of up to circa £53,000 per annum, Monday to Friday working week, with core hours from 10am to 4pm. There are options to work from home approximately 40% of the time.
