Qualifications

• Previous Clerk of Works or similar inspection experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and workmanship.
• Experience inspecting refurbishment and/or new build projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Confident working with contractors, consultants and clients.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Chartered status would be advantageous.
• Relevant construction qualification would be advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Clerk of Works to join its expanding team. The consultancy delivers Building Surveying and Project Management services across the commercial, education, healthcare and public sectors. The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, extension, conversion and new build projects, predominantly within approximately one hour of Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works to join a growing consultancy with a strong project pipeline and genuine long-term career progression.
