A construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Clerk of Works in Pangbourne. This role involves managing safety on site, issuing permits, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in the FM industry and possess IOSH qualifications. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are essential. This is a full-time role with a commitment of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and potential weekend work.
Job Description: Clerk of Works based in Pangbourne, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role will be to manage the safety of all works across site, to issue permits for disciplines including hot works, working at height, excavation etc, (training will be provided), provide health and safety guidance to the technical, facilities and project teams.
The candidate is expected to be able to review and comment on RAMs in a suitable and effective manner as well as being able to write a Risk Assessment and Method Statement.
The individual should have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety and have experience in issuing permits and have worked in the FM arena, they should be proactive, able to work in a team, have good communication skills, have a keen desire to learn and understand, approachable, have logical thinking, adapt to the site requirements and be comfortable to be able to approach anyone undertaking works to carry out safety conversations.
Contracted hours 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday and weekend working may be required at times.
