Clerk of Works - Consultancy Project Services

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a Clerk of Works to join our Consultancy Project Services team based in Lincoln. This role offers competitive annual leave with buy/sell options, a matched pension scheme, and shares in the company's success through Sharesave and Share Incentive Plans.

Responsibilities

As a Clerk of Works, you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary design team, focusing on the delivery of building construction projects. Your duties include producing detailed reports, reviewing drawings and specifications, supporting project delivery within budget, acting as contract administrator on smaller projects, authorizing change controls, and liaising with teams to ensure successful project completion.

Daily Tasks
  • Inspect contractors' performance and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Assess required surveys before work commencement and perform basic measured surveys as directed.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports using relevant software.
  • Participate in design processes and coordinate design information.
  • Liaise professionally with authorities and client representatives, contributing to risk assessments.
  • Administer contracts and visit sites as needed.
  • Support sales and bid activities locally and nationally.
Candidate Profile

This role is ideal if you:

  • Are a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain, hold a full driving license, and are driven.
  • Have extensive knowledge of building projects up to £20M and previous experience in a similar role.
  • Possess a strong understanding of building construction, can analyze design work, and advise on best practices, with awareness of interdisciplinary impacts.
