The NHS is seeking a patient-focused administrator to support the Germ Cell service. This role involves recruiting patients, managing appointments, and maintaining a detailed database. 30 hours per week. Hours of work are flexible, but Monday and Friday are fixed to provide cover.

This role will support the Germ Cell service by recruiting patients to a shared community follow-up.
This role is very patient-focused, and you will be expected to meet patients in the clinic, recruit them to the remote service, contact external teams, chase patient reports, accurately manage a database, and highlight any results to the medical team. You will coordinate patient appointments alongside their follow-up schedule to ensure all tests are completed.

This role involves supporting the Germ Cell service. Recruiting patients means they do not need to attend the clinic regularly and can complete tests closer to home. You will collate results and send correspondence. You will meet patients in the clinic to outline the process and gather further information. Proficiency on the telephone is required, as you will need to contact other departments regularly. Using different systems, you will collate patient results and record them accurately in the database for clinicians to review and monitor.
All patients are on their own follow-up schedule, which will need to be uploaded to the database and then used to allocate appropriate appointments, ensuring certain tests and scans are requested, and handling general enquiries from patients.

Job Purpose/Summary: To recruit and track patients on Shared Community follow-up within the Germ Cell clinic. Contact service users and external sites to obtain results and record them on a central database. Issue usernames and passwords to patients for accessing the Prompt questionnaire. Act as the point of contact for managing daily activities, ensuring data accuracy, and escalating negative results to senior staff. Attend clinics to recruit patients, follow up appointments, and maintain the database. Ensure all documentation is sent out as per schedules and data is collated promptly.
