Job description

VANRATH are thrilled to assist our client in the search of a Clerical Officer. Our client are a Public Sector organisation based in Belfast.

Employment Type: Full-time
Location: North Belfast
Salary: £27,269

Responsibilities:

  • Draft correspondence/reports for Head of Finance & Principal.
  • Manage confidential records and student information on internal systems.
  • Maintain filing systems and operate IT/manual systems.
  • Prepare and distribute exam results and certificates.
  • Handle planner/stationery orders and general admin tasks (e.g., mail, filing, photocopying).
  • Ensure efficient communication and submission of required returns/records.
  • Assist in any additional administrative tasks as required.
  • Handle and record school cash transactions and petty cash.
  • Manage supplier deliveries and orders (requisitions, invoices, purchase orders).

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths & English.
  • 1 years' experience in a clerical role in a busy office environment.
  • Proficient in using computer packages/systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience with a cashless catering system.
  • Experience working in an educational establishment.
  • Knowledge of SIMs and/or FMS.
