This busy specialty is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person to offer excellent administrative support for the smooth running of the Endoscopy booking office.
The Endoscopy Clerical Officer will handle administrative duties within the booking office and reception area, ensuring efficient clerical support to the department in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential qualifications include administrative experience, preferably with booking or appointment handling, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Understanding data protection and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare are crucial, along with excellent organizational, communication, and team skills. Flexibility and good time management are also required.
The post involves working within a busy Booking and Scheduling office at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with travel to The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate will collaborate with managers and staff to develop and maintain high-quality booking and scheduling services for the Endoscopy Unit, managing outpatient and inpatient appointments, waiting lists, and rescheduling, as well as responding to patient and staff inquiries. The role includes providing face-to-face reception cover on a rotational basis.
