The Ophthalmology department requires an experienced clerical officer to work with the cataract unit team. You will be dealing with members of the public, patients, and staff within the ophthalmology department of NHS Fife.
You will have excellent telephone communication skills to handle multiple calls from general practitioners, opticians, patients, and other departments or healthcare organizations. You should be able to navigate trakcare and organize appointments effectively.
You will report to the Senior Charge Nurse Ophthalmology.
Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager. The secondment policy can be found here. Without approval for a secondment from your current line manager, you cannot proceed with your application for this fixed-term post. External applicants with continuous NHS service must also have a secondment agreement from their current board to apply for this position.
