Dorset Council UK is seeking an enthusiastic administrative support member for their team starting September 2025. The role, requiring excellent interpersonal and ICT skills, will involve providing vital support to the school environment, with competitive training and development opportunities offered. Candidates should be flexible and possess the ability to work efficiently in a busy office setting.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and flexible person to join our hard working office team in September 2025. The hours of work will be 08:30 - 12:30 Monday to Wednesday and 08:30 to 15:30 Thursday and Friday (25 hours per week).
We require someone who can be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and children. A key part of the role will be to provide an efficient and confidential service to parents, visitors and school staff ensuring effective administrative systems are monitored and maintained.
The successful applicant will be a team player who is capable, organised, friendly and flexible and have excellent interpersonal and ICT skills; a good knowledge of Word and Excel is essential.
Previous experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. An ability to prioritise workload and to remain focused in a very busy office is essential.
