Job description

Location: Twechar Primary Nursery, Main Street, Twechar, G65 9TA

Salary: £24,891.64 - £27,063.27 per year (pro rata)

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 9 hours per week

Job Summary

Please note that salary will be be pro-rated for part-time hours.

Work pattern: Thursday and Friday, 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Based at Twechar Nursery, you will provide clerical support within the nursery.

Responsibilities include word processing, maintaining school records related to pupils and staff, telephone, reception, reprographics duties, mail distribution, pupil enquiries, and welfare support.

Applicants must have experience working in an office environment and possess good IT skills. Ability to work as part of a team and handle a variety of tasks is essential.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland

All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks follow the criteria outlined below:

For regulated roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before employment is confirmed.

The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, with possible installment options in specific circumstances, subject to approval by the HR & OD Manager. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.

This applies to both new applicants and existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
