Technical Services Centre – Clerical Assistant

Salary – £25,583 to £26,403 per annum + benefits

About the role

We are seeking to fill an upcoming vacancy for the role of TSC Clerical Assistant. Reporting to the TSC Administrator, you will support the delivery of our strategic goals by providing administrative support to TSC and the management team.

The role is an integral part of the central support function within our Technical Services Centre, offering administrative support to the Transport and Operational Equipment Workshops as well as our Stores Department. This role is key in delivering a range of activities to support the operational needs of the Service.

Responsibilities

As the TSC Clerical Assistant you will:

  • Support the TSC Administrator across a range of responsibilities including reception duties, fleet management, order processing, goods receipting, raising external invoices, asset management, and other tasks as required.
  • Attend meetings, taking accurate notes, producing minutes and following up action points as required.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate that they have:

  • Experience completing general administrative and clerical tasks, including reception and switchboard duties.
  • The ability to demonstrate good IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels and work both independently and as part of a team.
