A leading company is seeking a Clerical Assistant to join their Business & Strategy Team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role includes performing various administrative duties, supporting service areas, and maintaining accurate records. Glasgow Life is looking for a Clerical Assistant to join us on a full-time permanent basis, working 35hrs per week.
As Clerical Assistant you will be joining our in-demand Business & Strategy Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports all areas of Glasgow Life providing Admin support. We operate Admin Hubs to support the service areas. We have a vacancy in our Sports Admin Hub.

The role
To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective clerical, financial and administrative support service for Glasgow Life in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as clerical work often involves handling sensitive information and data, information processing, strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, maintain accurate records and making full use of appropriate computer systems and software to improve processes and achieve efficiencies. The candidate must have experience of working in a busy office environment undertaking various clerical tasks and working to tight timescales.
If you’re interested in joining us as a Clerical Assistant, you’ll be required to:
• Plan and organise designated work to be completed within the relevant timeframe.
• Carry out a wide range of administrative services to support the Admin Officer, Service Areas, Colleagues and Business Partners.
• Processing financial transactions, accurately and timeously utilising the Company’s
computerised systems.
• Respond to enquiries by email or phone from internal customers, colleagues and ALEOS, clarifying issues and providing an informed response.
• Liaising with internal and external customers and partners establishing effective working relationships.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changeable working environments.
• Ensure accurate and complete records and information for effective processing of bookings,
events, and applications.
• Collate, update, maintain and provide management information as required.
• Support colleagues in the purchasing of goods and services, and processing of invoices.

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager may be able to agree this with you if operationally possible. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
