Job description

Location: Clober Primary School, Kirk Street, Milngavie, G62 7PN

Salary: £23,942.69 - £26,023.07 per year (pro rata)

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Job Summary

Salary will be pro-rated for part-time/term-time hours. This position is temporary.

Based at Clober PS, you will provide clerical support within the school. Duties include the use of MS Office packages, maintaining all school records related to pupils and staff, telephone, reception, reprographics duties, distribution of school mail, dealing with pupil enquiries, and attending to pupils' welfare needs.

You must have experience working in an office environment and possess good IT skills. Ability to work as part of a team and handle a variety of tasks is essential.

Applicants should be customer-focused with a can-do attitude and interested in working within an exciting and busy school environment.

This post is subject to a PVG check.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland

All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks adhere to the following criteria:

Successful candidates for Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, or in some cases, in installments following employment commencement, with approval from the HR & OD Manager. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.

This criteria also applies to existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
