THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will perform a wide range of clerical duties to support staff in providing quality services to the citizens of Pennsylvania. Your responsibilities include engaging in clerical and office duties such as data entry, customer service, scanning, imaging, filing, answering phones, and processing mail and voicemail, following office procedures and using relevant systems. You will work under the supervision of a Clerical Supervisor and interact courteously and professionally with the public both in person and via telephone.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Travel and overtime may be required.
  • Benefits include excellent health coverage, contractual pay increases, paid holidays and leave entitlements, opportunities for advancement, and shift selection.
  • Work Conditions: Duties are performed in a controlled office environment. Reassignments to different work sites may occur based on operational needs, in accordance with contract provisions.
  • Telework: Teleworking is not available for this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:

  • Six months of experience as a Clerical Assistant 1 or equivalent (federal or state).
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Preference may be given to candidates residing in York County; other counties may be considered if no suitable candidates from York County apply.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
