Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Operations Clerk to provide clerical support to the Operations department at Sizewell B. This role is vital in supporting the smooth running of operations, including maintaining staffing levels, ordering consumables, and assisting with general administration tasks.

You will work under the direction of the Deputy Operations Manager, ensuring that all clerical duties are carried out effectively and in line with site requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Shift Manning Levels are maintained in accordance with local rules.
  • Place orders for consumables (oils/chemicals) and prepare delivery packs.
  • Provide general clerical support, including archiving and meeting administration.
  • Upload, download, and carry out basic editing of documents within the controlled document system (preferred but not essential).
  • Administer the standby rota.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of document control and record management (essential).
  • GCSEs/National Qualification standards (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
  • Competent in the operation of office equipment (scanners, photocopiers, printers, computers, etc.).
  • Flexible, with a willingness to support the business outside of core duties when required.
