A Clerical Assistant position has arisen within the Housing Solutions Team. This important role will be required to provide an efficient, effective, and customer-friendly front-line Reception service for the Housing Advice Centre and its customers.

You will contribute to the achievements and targets set within the Housing Advice Centre by supporting the effective provision of a high-quality customer care service.

You will be the first point of contact for customers contacting the Council's Housing Solutions Team, providing guidance and advice, and maintaining an Appointments Register for clients accessing the service for assistance where appropriate.

Excellent communication skills, particularly telephone techniques, are required. Effective use of ICT systems is also essential. Experience of working in a team and within a Reception role dealing with members of the public is essential.

You will be an individual with a positive, can-do attitude and a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
