This is a fixed-term post for 6 months from the start date.
As this is a term-time post, the salary will be be pro-rata to the hours worked.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Clerical/Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a term-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and rewarding environment.
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive clerical and administrative service supporting the operations of Kilpatrick School.
You will ensure the smooth running of the school office and provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, responding to all enquiries via telephone or from visitors. Additionally, you will manage and maintain school data, ensuring all information is up to date and accurately recorded on computerised systems.
General office duties will include photocopying, filing, document preparation, mail recording/distribution, assisting with the organisation of transport and trips/outings, and routine cash handling duties such as receiving and recording payments for school activities, uniforms, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent organisational and communication skills are required.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
