Job summary

Leicester City Council's Cleansing Services is seeking a supervisor to manage and motivate a team of Cleansing Operatives across the city.

You will conduct daily site inspections, ensure training, safety and productive work, and coordinate with managers while covering shift patterns. Full UK driving licence is required. The role offers flexible hours, annual leave and pension benefits with travel across Leicester.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a cleaning environment and understanding HASWA and COSHH regulations.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organisational abilities; able to motivate and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• You’ll undertake daily inspections of designated sites and lead a team of operatives.
• You’ll ensure they are trained, competent, productive and safe.
• You’ll identify environmental or hazardous aspects and use chemicals/equipment as needed.
• You’ll remove litter, leaves, detritus, illegal dumping, dog fouling, graffiti and empty bins.
