Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth are recruiting a Cleansing Operative to help maintain high cleanliness standards across the Tamworth area. You will perform cleansing duties and assist with grounds maintenance as part of a friendly team.

This is an ongoing temporary assignment, Monday to Friday, 07:30–15:30, with a 30-minute unpaid break, paid at £13.05 per hour. The ideal candidate is reliable, team‑oriented and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and good basic literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or manual cleansing work (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and hardworking approach

Responsibilities

• Emptying bins and maintaining cleanliness across assigned areas
• Assisting with fly‑tipping removal
• Litter picking
• Removing graffiti
• Supporting grounds maintenance and cleansing activities
• Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with service standards
• Providing excellent customer service when representing the company

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a Cleansing Operative to join our client and support the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness across the Tamworth area.

The Role

As a Cleansing Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleansing and grounds maintenance duties to ensure public areas are maintained to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• Emptying bins and maintaining cleanliness across assigned areas
• Assisting with fly‑tipping removal
• Litter picking
• Removing graffiti
• Supporting grounds maintenance and cleansing activities
• Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with service standards
