Job Title: Cleaning Technician

Sanctuary provides in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. Salary: £26,666 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Technician to join our Estate Services team in Canterbury. You will be responsible for cleaning offices, general housing schemes, and blocks of flats within the region. Daily duties include cleaning communal areas such as stairs, lifts, toilets, and kitchens. You will work within a team, but lone working will also be required.

We are looking for a team player capable of providing high-quality service that meets customer needs.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, wiping and sanitising surfaces, dusting, cleaning internal glass, mopping floors, cleaning toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens, and removing rubbish and debris, including bulk items when necessary.
  • Undertake regular risk assessments to identify hazards or faults, maintaining a safe environment.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on work progress.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and manage stock levels.
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and customer-friendly service.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in general cleaning duties is essential.
  • British Institute Certificate in cleaning services is desirable.
  • Practical experience operating cleaning machinery is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • This role involves driving; a full valid UK driving licence is required to operate a company vehicle.
