Job description

The Cleaning Team Leader will be the communication link between the Hitachi Rail Limited production teams and the cleaning contractors. You will be responsible for carrying out inspections on the trains to complete our KPI process. Once the vehicle has been cleaned, you will use SAP to close work orders and communicate back to the production team.

Responsibilities include overseeing the delivery of cleaning services via operatives and contractors, ensuring proper use of equipment and materials, managing stock and safety, and ensuring service standards are met. You will liaise daily with staff and management, develop procedures and systems, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and produce KPI reports for management.

You will support contract reviews, manage resources, conduct audits, coordinate incident responses, and manage sub-contractors. Knowledge of heavy industrial or rolling stock vehicle cleaning is preferred.
