Amey is inviting applications for a Cleaning Team Leader on a site-based role at Horizon Community College, Barnsley. The position offers 25 hours per week (Mon-Fri) at £14.12 per hour, with a flexible shift pattern to discuss at interview.

You will manage a cleaning team, perform audits, manage stock, and ensure high standards of safety and service delivery across the contract, supporting carbon reduction initiatives where appropriate.

Qualificações

• Cleaning experience preferred.
• DBS check required before commencing employment.

• Strong customer service skills and a positive work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise cleaners within your team and perform basic people management.
• Carry out bi-weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables through proper channels.
• Operate machinery safely following guidelines and training provided.
• Train cleaners in Amey leadership modules with refreshers every 6 months.
• Address concerns from team members or escalate to line manager as needed.
• Ensure health & safety standards across the contract.
• Support local and business carbon reduction programmes as appropriate.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for aCleaning Team Leader to Join our Barnsley Schools Account inHorizon Community College, Dodworth Road, Barnsley S70 6PD - This role will be based on site.

The salary is£14.12 per hour

The hours of work will be 25 hours per week - 5 hours per day Monday - Friday. This role will offer flexible working (shift pattern to be discussed in interview)

Amey provides facilities and estate management services to the Barnsley Schools Private Finance Initiative across 11 schools, ensuring high-quality, safe, clean, and compliant learning environments for teachers and students. They work in partnership with clients and end-users to deliver 24/7 services to the highest standard with minimal disruption to the schools' daily operations.

What you will do:

• Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity
• Carry out bi- weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements
• Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
• Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Train cleaners in Amey way modules including 6 monthly refreshers.
• Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or eliminate to your people manager if you are not able to.
• Carry out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
