Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in the UK is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead a cleaning team across multiple client sites, delivering high standards and meeting SLA commitments. You’ll manage recruitment, training and development, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and monitor quality with a focus on customer satisfaction.

The role is permanent, based on site in Leicester, with fixed hours and a pay rate of £13.22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory/cleaning background and experience managing teams.
• Strong communication and professional attitude are required.
• Able to plan, work independently to a schedule and meet SLA targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cleaning team: recruitment, training and development.
• Deliver routine cleaning to a high standard and follow schedules.
• Ensure staff follow Health & Safety procedures and QHSE guidelines.
• Monitor cleanliness standards, distribute uniforms and manage stock levels.
• Handle issues professionally and escalate to line manager when needed.
• Provide exceptional on-site service and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with on-site team and other stakeholders to meet contract requirements.
• Follow cleaning schedules and be flexible with duties to suit business needs.
