Job Description:

Cleaning Supervisor - Creating Great Workplaces for our Teams

£27,000 per annum + benefits ¦ Bath ¦ Full Time or Part Time (25-37 hours)

Permanent ¦ Core hours 4pm-8pm across 5 days

Interview date: 20th May 2025

Your Pride. Our Spaces. Happy Colleagues.

At Curo, we take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces where our colleagues can do their best work and our customers feel valued when they visit us. Our offices are more than just buildings – they're the physical representation of who we are as an organisation.

This hands-on supervisory role puts you at the heart of our workplace experience.

Working with a small team of cleaning operatives, you'll ensure our offices in Bath shine while supporting our facilities team with essential building management duties.

You'll supervise the team and roll up your sleeves to clean your own designated areas, making sure our spaces remain professional, hygienic and welcoming every day.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a team of 5 part-time cleaning operatives, including coaching, quality checks and regular one-to-ones
  • Cleaning your own designated areas to maintain high standards throughout our offices
  • Ordering cleaning supplies, managing stock and ensuring value for money
  • Acting as an out-of-hours contact (after 5pm) for building emergencies
  • Performing daily building checks and managing waste removal
  • Identifying and arranging additional cleaning requirements (like carpet cleaning)
  • Using our internal systems to place orders, manage documentation and communicate with teams
  • Providing cover when team members are on leave or absent

More about you

We're looking for someone with excellent people management skills who can lead by example and set high standards. You're organised and self-motivated with experience in delivering quality services in a professional environment.

  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience in cleaning, facilities or a similar hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills to deliver health and safety briefings and training
  • IT proficiency for ordering supplies and using internal systems
  • Flexibility to work between 4pm-8pm and provide cover when needed
  • Driving license for travel between our Bath locations
  • Experience in an operational role where you've had to respond to immediate issues

This role requires you to work a minimum of 25 hours per week across 5 days, with core hours between 4pm-8pm. We have up to full-time hours (37 per week) available and can discuss flexible working patterns at interview.

What you'll get in return

Beyond a competitive salary and the chance to make a real difference every day, you'll get:

  • 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
  • Your birthday off as an extra holiday
  • Up to 10% matched pension contribution
  • Free parking at many of our locations
  • Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing
