Job summary

Mitie in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to manage a cleaning team and drive service standards for a Mitie client site.

You will recruit, develop and supervise staff, ensure health and safety procedures are followed, schedule workloads, monitor quality, manage holidays and performance, and handle routine administrative duties as required.

This role requires reliable, proactive individuals who can work to a timetable and communicate clearly with the client and team.

Pay Rate: £16.92 per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to manage a cleaning team, including recruitment and development of team and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer.

Main Duties

• You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning via your team.
• You will help ensure the cleaning standards meet the Service Level agreed with the client
• You will ensure that the cleaning team understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required.
• You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary.
• You will manage your team's holidays, training, and performance.
• You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate.
• You will need undertake any administrative duties as requested by line manager.

Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative.
