Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Warehouse Cleaning Supervisors for a large distribution centre based in Kettering, NN15. You will supervise a team of cleaning operatives, allocate duties, monitor schedules, and carry out quality inspections. The role requires COSHH awareness, health and safety adherence, and reporting incidents.

Two shift patterns are available: 4 on 4 off, 7am–7pm at £14.50 per hour, or 4 on 4 off, 7pm–7am at £15 per hour. Temporary to permanent after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in cleaning, industrial cleaning, warehousing or facilities management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible approach to hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of cleaning operatives.
• Allocate daily duties and monitor completion of cleaning schedules.
• Carry out quality inspections and audits of warehouse, offices, welfare facilities, and external areas.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and machinery are operated safely and maintained correctly.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and PPE.
• Deliver induction training and ongoing coaching to cleaning staff.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, and performance of team members.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations, health and safety policies, and site procedures.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Liaise with Amazon management and other site stakeholders regarding cleaning standards and service delivery.
• Complete administrative duties, including timesheets, reports, and audit records.

We have 2 shift patterns available:

4 on 4 off 7am-7pm Days - £14.50 per hour

4 on 4 off 7pm-7am Nights - £15 per hour

Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks
