Job summary

Kingdom Services Group is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor for our site at Orsted Barrow West Coast Hub in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

You will lead and support a team of cleaners, manage daily operations, schedules, and inspections, and ensure health, safety and cleanliness standards are met across the site. This is a hands-on supervisory role with a Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, 40-hour work week, paying £13.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Cleaning Supervisor or similar supervisory cleaning role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and disposal procedures.
• Experience creating and implementing cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Health and safety understanding for cleaning services.
• Own transport due to site location.
• Enhanced DBS and BPSS clearance required.
• Right to work in the UK.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Orsted Barrow West Coast Hub. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you will lead and support a team of cleaners while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety are maintained across the site.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning schedules, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership skills who can motivate a team and maintain excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
• Inspect and evaluate cleaning standards to ensure high levels of cleanliness are consistently maintained.
• Train, develop, and support cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and on time.
• Order, monitor, and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond to and resolve any cleaning‑related issues or customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of cleaning operations and staff performance.
• Assist with cleaning duties as required, as this is a hands‑on supervisory role.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar supervisory cleaning role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and correct storage and disposal procedures.
• Experience creating and implementing cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts or issues within the team effectively.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations relating to cleaning services.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Own transport is essential due to the location of the site.

Essential Checks

• Enhanced Child DBS required.
• BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance required.
• Right to work in the UK.
